Pancuit – Garlic and bread soup


This soup is an example of humble and simple kitchen, is made in a moment with ingredients at hand, is always better than canned soup.

Level: super easy

Serves: 4


  • 8 cloves of garlic.
  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes.
  • 4 eggs.
  • 8 thin slices of lightly toasted bread or 120 gr. of bread cubes.
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil.
  • 1 liter of water.
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika.
  • Salt.


Heat a pan with olive oil, sauté crushed garlic with skin until lightly browned, add the grated tomato, paprika, a punch of salt and hot water, boil for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, remove the garlic gloves and add the beaten eggs and bread.
